Exchange Calc Chrome — Privacy Policy

Exchange Calc Chrome (the "extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the extension does and does not handle.

Data we collect

None. The extension does not collect, store on our servers, or transmit any personal or identifiable information. We have no servers, no accounts, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.

How the extension works

When you select text on a web page, the extension reads that text selection locally on your device to detect whether it contains a monetary amount.
The selected text is never uploaded anywhere. It is only sent to the extension's own background service worker so the right-click menu can preview the conversion.
To convert currencies, the extension requests the latest public exchange rates from open.er-api.com and, as a fallback, api.exchangerate-api.com. These requests ask only for generic, USD-based rate tables and contain no selected text and no user information.
When you click the conversion menu item, the result is written to your device's clipboard. This happens only on that explicit action.

Local storage

The extension uses Chrome's local storage to cache the most recently fetched exchange rates (for up to one hour) and to save your preferences from the options page (default currency and cache duration). This data stays on your device and is never sent to us or any third party.

Third-party services

The exchange-rate providers (open.er-api.com and api.exchangerate-api.com) may, like any web service, log standard request metadata such as IP addresses. The extension sends them no personal data beyond what an ordinary web request includes. Please refer to those providers' own policies for details.

Data sharing and selling

We do not sell, rent, or share any user data, because we do not collect any.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same URL with a new effective date.

没有。 本扩展不收集、不在服务器上存储、也不上传任何个人或可识别身份的信息。我们没有服务器、没有账号体系，也没有任何形式的统计或追踪。

本扩展的工作方式

当你在网页上选中文本时，本扩展会在你的设备本地读取该文本选区，以判断其中是否包含金额。
选中的文本不会被上传到任何地方，仅会发送给本扩展自身的后台服务，以便右键菜单预览换算结果。
为完成货币换算，本扩展会向 open.er-api.com（以及作为备用的 api.exchangerate-api.com）请求最新的公开汇率。这些请求只获取通用的、以美元为基准的汇率表，不包含任何选中文本或用户信息。
当你点击换算菜单项时，结果会被写入你设备的剪贴板。该操作仅在你主动点击时发生。

本地存储

本扩展使用 Chrome 的本地存储来缓存最近一次获取的汇率（最长 1 小时），并保存你在设置页中的偏好（默认币种和汇率缓存时长）。这些数据始终保留在你的设备上，绝不会发送给我们或任何第三方。

第三方服务

汇率数据提供方（open.er-api.com 与 api.exchangerate-api.com）与任何网络服务一样，可能会记录 IP 地址等标准请求元数据。本扩展不会向其发送超出普通网络请求范围的任何个人数据。详情请参阅这些服务方各自的隐私政策。

数据共享与出售

我们不出售、不出租、不共享任何用户数据——因为我们根本不收集任何数据。

政策变更

如本政策有所变更，更新后的版本将发布在同一网址，并标注新的生效日期。
